SEMPHONIC ANNOUNCES NEW EUROPEAN OFFICE, VICE PRESIDENT
Digital Analytics Expert Matthias Bettag to Head Berlin Office
Novato, CA - January 31, 2012 – Semphonic, the leading Web analytics and Digital Measurement consultancy in the United States, announced today the hiring of Matthias Bettag as Vice President of Analytics. Bettag, a leading Web practitioner with nearly a decade of experience, will head Semphonic’s European practice in Berlin, Germany.
According to Semphonic President, Gary Angel, this is the just the first step in a larger expansion. "We support a number of our multi-national clients in the EU and we felt that the time was right to build a serious presence on the ground. Our goal is to deliver large-scale, transformative digital measurement programs to top European enterprises. We think leading-edge companies in the EU are ready to make that jump."
Semphonic's U.S. practice is focused on advanced digital customer analytics and supports some of the leading brands in the world including American Express, Barclays, Charles Schwab, the Economist, Genentech/Roche, HP, JPM Chase, Merck, Nokia, Samsung and Walmart.
Bettag comes to Semphonic from Bayer, where he specialized in website optimization including Web analytics, Web development, content management, search engine marketing and optimization, mobile and social media work. He was responsible for establishing business processes and best practices for Web and a global website consolidation project that incorporated over 500 websites.

Bettag is an active Web Analytics Association (WAA) member, is a WAA Certified Web Analyst and has been the WAA Country Manager for Germany since February 2010. He’s a graduate of the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin.
