Web Analyst Internship

Get paid to learn web analytics from the experts at Semphonic, a top web analytics firm, whose Fortune 1000 clients include some of the world’s largest, most sophisticated web sites. Web analytics has become one of the hottest Internet related careers. If you have strong analytical skills and want to learn web analytics, this is your chance to practice with some of the best web analysts in the country. Upon successful completion of the internship, candidates will be offered a position of as a full time web analyst with a salary increase.

We are looking for a web savvy, detailed oriented person with good analytic skills and problem solving skills. Candidate must be comfortable using Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with SQL and a statistical package such as SAS or SPSS is a plus. You will learn: :

  • How to determine website key performance indicators (KPI).
  • How to map KPIs to website metrics.
  • How to run, update, and build intuitive, analytically driven reports using online web-analytics solutions as well Excel.
  • How to develop website analysis presentations, typically in PowerPoint, focused on improving usability, effectiveness and conversion on client sites.
  • How to test and debug implementations of web-analytics solutions using a variety of tools such as scanners and packet sniffers.
  • How to perform quality assurance testing using established Semphonic templates.

Candidates should have a college degree in a field that requires strong analytical skills. The ability and desire to learn and use new technologies and subject matter is more important than experience. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or have a Green Card.

This is a 3 month internship. After 3 months, interns will be evaluated for a regular position at a commensurate salary. Telecommuting two days a week is a possibility.
